Tile Works 50 Sportive Event

Tile Works 50 Sportive

Discover the South bank on this early season sportive designed to wake the legs up. We start at the foot of the Humber bridge on the south bank where we meet for a cuppa before we are sent on our way with our first hill within the first half mile known locally as “Cardiac hill “.

Its not long before we hit our next hill at Saxby All Saints which is a conservation area, and one of the five Low Villages – Worlaby, Bonby, Saxby All Saints, Horkstow and South Ferriby, between Brigg and the River Humber – so-called because of their position below the northern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The next 15 miles is all down hill to Goxhill Haven and the Humber estuary. We then head south again as we steadily rise towards Elsham and then a steep descent into Worlaby.

We are back now in Saxby all saints to tackle the southern side of the village climb before descending into South Ferriby and the final push up the hill out the village but with 50 miles in your legs the 8% max gradient is sure to test you out.
